Reflective Blog post
My group was Izzy, Lachlan, Toby
Reflective Blog post -- Post on your blog the link to your group's video and the reflective writing (400 words): What was difficult about this project and what was easy? What was interesting, surprising, frustrating? What changed the most from the beginning to the end of the project? What were your group dynamics like? How well was your group able to improvise, share ideas, share leadership, etc.? How did your group use the principles of improv in their collaboration? What specifically did you contribute to the group? Lastly, what worked and what needed more work in your project?
In my group, we collaborated very well. We were all leaders and we all had ideas for this project. I enjoyed this project because it was a way for me to get to know people I wouldn't have necessarily talked to if I wasn't partnered with them. The difficult part about this project is connecting all of our inspiration. Nobody's inspiration is ever the same. Everyone is inspired by different places and things, or anything. We each had a different photo but in the end, we were able to connect all of our photos amazingly. We seem to express the photos enough that the audience understood. I've participated in two plays before my old school, but that's kind of the only acting in theater experience I've ever had. So, this was fun for me to try something new and to grow and develop new skills. At the beginning of the project, my group felt awkward around each other. Acting around each other and having to like hug each other when practicing our skit Was weird because we've never really talked to each other before. Near the end of our project, we started to become friends and we would say hi to each other in the halls when we saw each other. This group didn't have any problems, usually, in group work, there are at least a few problems. We all cooperated well and we all participated in great amounts. it was fun to find songs and figure out lighting with Izzy, Lachlan, and Toby. the leadership wasn't handed to one person it was kind of all split between the four of us. because we had an even amount of people unlike the other three groups, who had three people each, we were able to make our dance symmetrical. I came up with a lot of the ideas for the group, if you hadn't noticed Lachlan and I were kind of partners in this dance. Lachlan and I collaborated well and we came up with ideas to walk around Izzy, he came up with jazz hands, we each came up with an equally good amount of work. our project could have been more detailed. We could have added more things but we felt we weren't comfortable with some of the things because we barely knew each other. I'd only ever really talked to Izzy at soccer practice before and I'd never interacted with Lachlan or Toby before this so it was nice to get to know them. Overall this project was enjoyable and it was nice to get to know new people.
